Your questions answered
What is A Light in this World?
A Light in this World is an online fundraising space where you, your family and friends can share photos, stories and memories about a loved one while fundraising for Christian Aid at the same time.
Why create an A Light in this World tribute page?
You may want to create a page because you have lost someone who was a Christian Aid supporter. It can be a way to celebrate their commitment to ending the injustice of poverty. A Light in this World allows you to continue their legacy of love and care. However much you raise will make a difference to people living in poverty.
What if my loved one was not a Christian Aid supporter?
Your loved one need not have been a Christian Aid supporter for you to set up your A Light in this World page. Your page can simply be the way you celebrate the light they shone in the world during their lifetime.
How do I get started?
It’s easy to create your own A Light in this World page. Simply follow this step-by-step process.
Do I need to pay a fee to set up my page?
Your A Light in this World page is free to set up. The money you raise will help fund Christian Aid’s projects.
Do I need to set a fundraising target?
It’s entirely up to you. Setting a target is optional.
How much of the money I raise will directly support Christian Aid?
Every penny you donate will directly support Christian Aid.
Can I add Gift Aid to the donations?
Yes. Simply tick the Gift Aid box when you make your donation.
Can I add fundraising events to my page?
Yes. Simply click on ‘Create an event' and follow the step-by-step process.
Is there someone I can talk to directly?
If you have any questions or want to chat through setting up your page, we can help. Call Alison Linwood in the In Memory team on 020 7523 2173.
